idea:

Senior citizens can ask their questions about mobile phones to young people

vision:

In order to help older people to use mobile phones, there is a consultation hour where they can ask young volunteers their questions and get help from them.

By providing assistance, a bridge is formed between young and old and the senior citizens benefit from the knowledge of the younger generation.

additional instructions:

The trainers should have a basic knowledge of mobile phones and their common apps (WhatsApp,...) They serve as contact persons and information points for questions and should therefore be able to handle seniors.

procedure / program

Seniors look for an available moderator and ask him their questions. He or she will try to answer the question and then it is best to have the answer shown practically by the person asking the question to make sure that the explanation has been understood. If there is time seniors should also write down the answers to their questions.

It is useful to create a FAQ catalogue including answers and tips.

additional material needed:

Pens and paper are useful when seniors want to write down the anwers to their questions. In case of questions about other technical areas it is helpful to have a laptop at hand.

Only chairs and possibly tables are needed to create a seating area.

additional requirements:

Age from 14 to 40, depending on their knowledge about mobile phones also older people.

the number of participants depends on availability of moderators.
