A lot of people left their countries in fear of dictatorship, arbitrariness, terror and violence. Germany became their place of refuge, not only from a economical point of view, but as a longing place, where democracy, reliability and justice count. So refuges and migrants remind us daily what a valorable good democracy is. But what meaning do they respectively we give to democracy? Which importance does it have for our daily life? Which values do we need to defend?In an open panel discussion we want to discuss together "what is so significant about democracy?"

idea:

In this panel discussion it will be explained and discussed, what oneself and the participants describe as democracy. What meaning it has for our daily life and ehich values need to be defended. The goal is to understand how deeply important democracy is. The conclusion will be that nothing really works without democracy and how essential it is for our daily lifes.
