idea:
Very often, large institutions like the EU seem to be very far off participants' daily life. The aim is to shift from this abstract perspective and provide participants with a more specific idea of the functionings of the EU. Therefore, the idea of this workshop is to provide participants with basic knowledge on the EU and in particular how the EU has and is contributing to the education system in Austria / Europe. Thus, participants will get a more specific idea of what the EU is doing for them and that its mission is oriented along core European values. Through interactive activities, such as group discussions and working in group settings, participants are provided with the opportunity to reflect upon the input of the mini-presentations and thus, can obtain a more informed picture on the EU.
vision:
Participants shall learn basic facts about the EU. In particular, they learn about the EU's contribution in terms of developing and investing in educational projects. This will make the workings of the EU more transparent to participants. Thus, participants are given a better understanding of the EU's mission and aims, fostering a European identity and the concept of European Citizenship.
