picture gallery:

Discrimination, racism and civic courage - recognising active and passive roles The method serves to reflect on what it means to be offender, victim or witness of discrimination, to reflect on which roles are recognised and, as a group, to develop concrete options for action.

idea:

This activity wants to increase learners' knowledge in terms of developing an understanding of the necessity of a fundamentally civil courageous attitude by reflecting on their own experiences. This shall raise awareness of what prevents and what motivates to help/protect others when it comes to acts of discrimination as an unjust or prejudicial treatment of people, especially on grounds of race, age, or sex. Learners will understand what prevents and what motivates to help/protect others, as well as how one feels, taking on one of the specific roles during an exercise.

vision:

Learners will understand what prevents and what motivates to help/protect others, as well as how one feels, taking one of the specific roles (offender - vicitm - witness) during an exercise. when it comes to acts of discrimination.
